It was a long season with many ups and downs.  We had several new winners and some familiar faces.  Every event this season was well attended, we had guests from Bristol, London and Southampton.  For our final event at Bransford we had 6 guests attending from the Bristol Titans.  We averaged 40 per event, which is outstanding and shows that the CGS is growing.

The CGS traveled far and wide from Gloucester to Staffordshire, and playing in all weathers, I’m sure we all remember the heavy downpour at Swindon.  Even with the heavy rain there was still some excellent golf played, which culminated in Ronald Ross achieving a CGS first on the par 3 17th, a hole in one.  He did go on to win the Swindon event, the first of his two wins this season.

It was consistency which allowed Rossi to take the title, an achievement he will no doubt try to repeat in 2012.  Congratulations.
